How did you even end up here?

TheDuchy Now has an App!

It is a “Progressive Web App” (PWA)*.  It functions a lot like the website, but makes some things a lot easier.

You can use our app to save the picture and text portions of any tutorial or course to your local device – maintaining your access even in areas with a poor Internet connection!  They will stay on your device for 3 weeks from the time you last viewed them, before automatically cleaning themselves off.

Installing the app on an iPhone / iOS:

  1. Visit TheDuchy.com using Safari**
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom center of the screen (it looks like a square with an arrow going up).
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen“.
  4. Rename if you like, then tap “Add” in the upper right corner.

** Other browsers are not permitted by iOS to install PWAs.  Also installing a PWA requires that Service Workers remain enabled under Experimental WebKit Features in Settings → Safari. These are enabled by default, so it is unlikely you will need to change anything.

Installing the app on an Android:

  1. Visit TheDuchy.com.
  2. Tap the XX button.
  3. A screen will pop up asking if you want to install the app.  Tap OK to install

Using the app:

  1. Tap the icon on your Home screen to launch your browser (Safari only on iOS*).
  2. Log in, if you are a member.
  3. Browse as usual. When you find a tutorial or course you want to save, click the Save button. The text and photos (but not video) will be saved on your device.
