Instructor Resources

Class - Rope 101

If you teach rope bondage, it is sometimes helpful to have pre-created course material.

This page links to material that I use for some of the in-person courses I teach.  You can use these resources just as they are or modify them to fit your needs.  In each case, I include:

  • A class description for the catalogue or as part of any advertisement
  • A set of instructors notes that lay out what I want to talk about and in what order.
  • A handout that I give students at the end of class that includes links to tutorials on TheDuchy that they can refer to as the practice what they learned in class.

If you use this material, I’d love to hear in the comments below how things go!

Class - Rope 101

Rope 101 & 102 are hands-on skills-development classes:

  • Rope 101 covers: 4 fundamental knots, two Double Columns, two Single Columns and the Bikini Harness.
  • Rope 102 extends things by adding the Crotch Rope, the Hishi Karada, the Extended Lark’s Head Double Column, a Leash and various rope handling techniques.
  • Safety and negotiation information is distributed throughout the course so that it is taught in the context in which it is important and so that the lecture elements of the class are spread between the practical skills portions, making it easier for students to stay engaged.

BDSM 101/102 is a fast-paced overview class that covers a wide range of introductory BDSM topics.  It was created collaboratively by Bondesque in Minneapolis, MN, USA and TheDuchy.

This outline can support a class length anywhere from 90 minutes to 4 hours, depending on what the instructor choses to cover and how deeply, and if it will be a pure lecture or if discussion will be encouraged.

This class features a framework for BDSM encounters, including: finding and vetting potential play partners, negotiation and planning (incl. planning for risks), setting up a scene, aftercare and after-event considerations like drop, lessons-learned, etc.

The second half is a discussion of a wide variety of bondage and sensation implements, various aspects and options useful in training a bottom/sub, and touches on contracts.

Hojo-Modified

The In 60 Seconds… and Speed Bondage classes cover methods to tie your partner very  quickly.  Either by pre-creating a rope bondage tool that can be used at need or by using rapid capture techniques that are great for takedown scenes

These are hands-on skills-development classes.

All the techniques covered are available for on TheDuchy (some free, some members-only), so your students will have something to refer to after the class.  You are free to use this material just as it is or modify it to fit your needs.
