Switch or upgrade your membership

Two common changes, step by step: moving from a Patreon membership to a direct membership, and upgrading a direct membership to self-service Stripe billing.

Move from Patreon to a direct membership

A Patreon membership is billed and managed by Patreon, so the switch happens in two places. Your access continues through the time you’ve already paid for.

Cancel your Patreon pledge. Do this on Patreon under Settings → Memberships (or use the Manage on Patreon link on your Account → Subscription tab). We can’t cancel a Patreon pledge for you.

Keep your access until your Patreon paid-through date. Cancelling on Patreon doesn’t cut you off immediately — your membership stays active on TheDuchy for the rest of the period you’ve already paid.

Subscribe directly. Once that period ends, open Account → Subscription, choose a credit-card plan, and complete checkout. You’ll keep the same account, history, and Discord role.

Two things to know

Don’t subscribe directly before cancelling Patreon— the two are separate billing systems, so you’d be charged by both.

Upgrade a direct membership to Stripe

If your card is currently billed through our older processor, you can move to Stripe for self-service billing — one click, no double charge, and no lost access.

Open Account → Subscription.

In the Current cycle card, click “Switch to Stripe.”

Enter your card on Stripe’s secure checkout page.

That’s it. Your old subscription is cancelled automatically, and your first Stripe charge is deferred to your current paid-through date— so you’re never double-charged and never lose access.

You’ll move to current membership pricing for your billing interval.
