Corn Cob Bit Gag

By Kajira Blue

Intermediate

The summer months have come and gone, leaving mountains of sweet corn ripe for the picking. Unfortunately, a deliciously juicy cob has been weaponized against our heroine, leaving her pitifully silent. Unless she can chew her way out…

Who says you can’t use edible gags? Blue came up with the idea of using a cob of corn for a bit gag after our most recent shoot where she pranced around as a pony. She was particularly drawn to the idea of being fed lovely treats like carrots and apples for being a good pony, which eventually led to this concept. Why not make the treat part of the bondage itself?

We rarely customize the lengths of our ropes, but in this case, we used custom lengths for the elbows to reduce unnecessary bulk.

Risk Management and Safety

Choking

If your bottom decides to eat their way out of their gag, there is a risk of them choking on a piece of food. This risk may be increased if they are breathing heavily or laughing at the same time they are attempting to chew. Monitor your bottom’s ability to breathe continuously and try not to chase them too fast around the pasture. If your bottom does begin to choke on an aspirated piece of food, quickly remove anything obstructing their mouth and deliver five back blows with the heel of your hand. If there is no improvement, deliver five abdominal thrusts (a.k.a the Heimlich maneuver).

More information about First Aid for choking can be found here: American Red Cross Choking First Aid

Regardless of which type of BDSM play you choose to engage in, it is a good idea to update your First Aid knowledge from time to time. You never know when it may come in handy.

Rope Needed

  • Head: One 30’ (~9m) rope
  • Wrists/Arms: Two 10’ (~3m) ropes (we used two 15’ (~4.5m) ropes here, but 10 would have been plenty)
  • Elbows: Two 7’ (~2m) ropes

Scene

  1. Prepare your bit gag (peel, steam, boil, cut, wrap in tape, etc.)
  2. Tie a Lark’s Head Single Column around each arm, just above the elbow. Leave the tail dangling for now.
  3. Add a Lark’s Head Double Column to each of the arms, tying the wrist to the upper arm. Sometimes this is called “chicken winging”.
  4. Position the bit gag of your choosing in your partner’s mouth, tying a Pony Play Style Head Harness around their head.
  5. (Optional) Use up any left-over rope from the Head Harness in a creative way. In this case I opted for the least creative way, which was to shove it into the back of Blue’s top for the sake of this photoshoot. What can I say? Sometimes the easiest option is the right one.
  6. Loop the tail of each of the Lark’s Head Double Columns (Step 1) inside the cuff of the opposite one. Pull each tail at the same time to pull your partner’s arms behind their back. This is completely customizable, so you can tie off and readjust at any time. To lock off, tie a Square Knot with the tails (in this case I used a slipped Square Knot, a.k.a. a bow).
