Bound in an Egg in Tokyo

In March 2024, Kajira Blue and I had the pleasure of visiting the city of Shinjuku in Tokyo, Japan. We found this lovely apartment and took the opportunity to shoot several CAS photos between exploring the city and meeting lots of wonderful people!
This shot features the Heavy Elbow Tie, a Lark’s Head Single Column and a Somerville Bowline.

- Begin with an Heavy Elbow Tie.
- Create a six strand Lark’s Head Single Column as a leash. Make sure it is not too tight!
- Run the tail to the side of the chair and back, then lock off however you like. I used a vine friction.
- Add a Somerville Bowline as an ankle cuff.
- Run the tail to the chair, back to the cuff and back to the chair. Lock off however you want. I used a friction somewhat like the Bamboo Suspension Friction.
