This cuff is brilliant. It’s super fast to tie, feels secure, doesn’t make a hard lump that presses on the joint, lays nice and flat around the wrist and unties in a flash. It’s a bit of a chore to adjust tension once it’s all tied but that just takes practice to get right.
Is there a considerable risk of nerve / circulation damage with this tie? My partner is very cautious about harming their hands, as they work in a trade that requires significant dexterity.
It would seem like there would be, doesn’t it? But no, despite being started in such a way that it would seem like it would cinch down, it is, in fact, a non-collapsing knot! Give it a try on a bedpost or your thigh or something. You need to do all three stitches as shown, but once you do, you can pull that tail as hard as you like and it won’t cinch the cuff 🙂
