Spectacular book written with care by an 25+ year expert in the field. The Duchy has been _the_ source of information on ropework for years and this book is an excellent lesson in foundationals and a great reference for play.

This book is an amazing body of foundational knowledge in the safe practice of rope bondage. It is a must have resource for people of all skill levels. It clearly and concisely walks the reader step by step through an exhaustive range of rope patterns. It has fast become one of my standard references!

I love how this book expertly lays out the tying process. The fact that it offers pictures for the steps is a game changer for us visual learners. I love the techniques used, because I find it artful. It’s not a hasty “this’ll do the trick” rope. It’s beautiful. I’m learning a lot, and it offers a lot to learn. Very excited to have this!

Required reading for all my students.  TL/DR: Should be req’d reading for all new practitioners. It’s REALLY good. I’ve been studying shibari for 10 years and teach beginner workshops. I wish I’d taken a look at this incredible textbook for beginners. I’m gonna start selling them at classes just to make sure folks have EVERYTHING they need to get started safely.

Worth it worth it worth it! The duchy has really helped me grow my confidence with Shibari. Using the book and his videos have helped me sharpen my tying skills 也 meet so many good people

Holy grail beginner book. Thorough section on safety and communication which I appreciate. The book I’ve been looking for!

By far the best rope book I’ve ever had. This book is so wonderful. I have a lot of people ask me for recommendations and this one is my new go to. Sooooo much safety information and visuals as well as basic ties and foundational knowledge. Absolutely amazing book to have and if you’re only gonna get one, I strongly suggest it be this one.

I have a lot of books, this is my new go to and I’ll recommend it to everyone. I’ve already bought an extra copy, and I absolutely love the way the material is presented and the depth some of the topics covered when they’re usually papered over. If you want to get to start on your bondage journey this is a great starting point, and if you’ve been at it a while this is a wonderful teaching tool for others or a great place to review fundamentals.

Fantastic book that distills down the best of theDuchy into a more user friendly experience. Photo tutorials are detailed and of a high quality. I particularly appreciate the sections discussing safety, consen[t], negotiation and planning a scene. The textbook format is much easier and intimate to share with a partner versus a screen as well.

Awesome book for beginners! Anyone interested in learning about the art of Shibari, will not go wrong with this book. Pricey but worth every penny.

Definitely recommend this book for anyone new or even brushing up on old knowledge. I love how it’s written. Had the pleasure of meeting the authors recently in a class they hosted. It’s such a great resource.
